klipfontein OUT - srp IN

our klipfontein project is finished. with of course a couple of glitches along the way. last week was ridiculously crazy i cannot begin to explain all of it to you!

now that klipfontein is finished. we have to start focusing on the SRP's which we will start next semester.
on monday we had to each pitch our ideas. i have stuck to my squash idea. i met with marion (my course convenor) about my project and she suggested i look into mobile usability. on the basis of my users (being the sqaush players) not always having access to a computer. using their cell phones to access my site. so essentially, i would be designing 2 layouts. one for a normal desktop internet browser and the other for a mobile internet browser.

here are a couple of images from my presentation:

here is our main interface from our klipfontein project. our target audience is the tween age group. from 14 to 17 years.
we wanted to create a scrapbook-like effect.

and then the user would be able to click on different links taking them to areas of Klipfontein road and other elements they can explore.

so thats just a small update.

next week is the last week of lectures and then its exam time!
i will be sure to post an update before then..

well done for your SRP presentation l am very impressed with your idea. As a squash player and captain of one of the uct teams l can identify with why you would want to design this site. I know from personal experinece how difficult it is to organise my team and as l often do not have airtime to call of my team members, a mobile site like this would prove to be extremely useful! I think that the amount of work needed for the site would be managable in the given time period for the project. i would like to join you on completing this project. l feel l have the necessary skills and resources to make this project possible! let me know what you think?!

Hello Christina...
Possibly my one and only reader! YAY - you're loyalty is much appreciated. On the topic of interactive buzz baby... you're klipfontein was awesome I thought your main page as a scrap book was classic and straight-forward for easy navigation. You guys are a great time...I hope you are able to merge for the SRP project as I earlier wrote on Karz's wall your idea is simple and necessary which makes it focussed and an undeniable success. I'm sure you will motivate a lot of UCT societies and sports to ensure they have a webpage up and running... in fact you may have to print a business card lady!!
